Can a functional medicine health coach help me?

Yes! Functional medicine health coaching is client-centered, meaning we focus on your needs and goals before anything else. Often people experience a gap between what they know they need to do to be healthy and actually doing it. You’re not alone!  Many people struggle with making significant changes to their diet and lifestyle.

I can help you manage chronic health conditions, lose weight (and keep it off!), increase movement, and generally improve your physical and mental health

I will help you decide where to begin and we will outline specific goals around points like nutrition, hydration, relaxation, sleep, detox, and exercise. I do not diagnose, make recommendations, or write prescriptions. However, I will provide education on any confusing material, help you prioritize your goals, work together to set up a plan of action and encourage your pursuit of a healthier life.

Many people struggle with making significant changes to their diet and lifestyle.  As a health coach, I can help you manage chronic conditions, increase movement, and generally improve your physical and mental health.  I am here to support you as you make difficult diet and lifestyle changes that may prevent or reverse chronic disease. In this partnership, we will delve into your strengths and use those to move you from chronic degeneration toward a thriving life again. 

Coaching will include:

  • A plan based on your priorities created by YOU and I.
  • The tools, such as mindfulness practice, food plan alterations, supplement education, and stress reduction strategies, to get you feeling happy and healthy again.
  • Encouragement, support, accountability, and suggestions when requested.


Our path is based on your priorities. You may have recommendations from a medical practitioner and want help implementing them or maybe you have your own reasons for seeking support. I work with you to create goals that are manageable and I will support you through your transition.


Everything begins with a thought. And your thoughts create your blueprint for life. To create substantial and sustained change, we will examine some of your underlying beliefs and make simple “tweeks” towards your goals.

Your belief system – basically the life you are living now is directly tied to your behaviors, habits, attitudes, decisions and expectations.  We all have beliefs about genetics, success, finances, health and wellness. The problem is most of us are on autopilot and victims to our blueprint. 

I am a trained in functional medicine, situational reframing, positive psychology, nutritional counseling, and mind-body medicine. Through observation, introspection, dissection, awareness and insights, together we can make sustainable, meaningful changes.

Functional Medicine practitioners advocate a personalized approach rooted in the principle that food is medicine. Because whole foods embody the life force that brings health, you and I will focus on understanding foods’ healing properties and emphasize the power of cooking.  

Mind-Body Medicine

“Mind-body medicine” refers to the field of study that examines how emotions, thoughts, imagery, and beliefs directly impact physical health, including DNA expression. This approach integrates researched and proven techniques to lower the stress reaction and generate a systemic healing response.  

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology is the scientific study of the strengths and virtues that foster well-being and make life worth living. Living a more meaningful and fulfilling life can create positive health outcomes, this orientation looks at how to nurture what’s best within us.  This is where Functional Medicine Health Coaching shines as you and I aim to move beyond the absence of disease, and into a vital and thriving life. The Art & Science Of Health Coaching

This collaborative approach is centered around a partnership between you and I, client and coach. Together we identify and work towards your goals and deal with any barriers that arise along the way. This process can support you in moving beyond the diagnosis-prescription model and empower you along your path to better health and personal discovery.
